Greetings! I’m relatively new to Paleo, but I’m already hooked on it — enough to be blogging about it. I love sharing my experiences with this “diet” because I truly believe in it.

Falling apart
Before I went Paleo in August, my body was in a crisis. Forty-plus hour work weeks, little sleep, and loads of chocolate, coffee, and hearty meals were killing me. I was losing “skinny girl” status, and my hormone levels were out of whack. Twenty-five years old is far too young to be falling apart. I knew I had to make some drastic changes in my life.

Starting Paleo
I am not sure exactly how I came across Paleo or what led me to think, ‘This is what I need to be doing.’ All I remember is researching the connection between low carb diets and hormone regulation. Perhaps someone on a forum somewhere out there recommended Paleo as a solution, and I wanted to learn more.

Quick benefits
In my first few weeks of eating Paleo, I lost around eight pounds. My belly was flat again for the first the since college, and my clothes looked much better on me. After I got over the initial shock of removing dairy, grains, and sweets, my energy soared.

You can do it too!
Eating Paleo isn’t always a piece of cake, but today it sure is a heck of a lot easier than what our pre-agricultural and pre-industrial age ancestors endured! Try it for one month, and let me know how it went for you.

For the love of Paleo,
